Take a break with Melanie Webster, Operations Director and Branch Manager

We would like to introduce you to Melanie Webster who is our wonderful Operations Director and also the Branch Manager of our St Albans office.

Why not grab yourself a cuppa and enjoy reading through our recent chat with Melanie.

What is your role at Clearly Education and how long have you been in the team?

I’m the Operations Director and St Albans Branch Manager, and I’ve been with the company since 2007!

What do you love most about your job?

I really enjoy getting to know all the different people we work with, and I love the ongoing relationships we have with those we’ve worked with for many years.

What have you been most proud of doing since joining Clearly Education?

Getting through the crazy pandemic period! It was the most challenging time work-wise that I have ever experienced, but I’m so proud we got through it, and that we’re still here to tell the tale.

What is it about Clearly Education that you think makes it such a great place to work?

I think we are such a unique bunch (I mean that in a good way!), I don’t think there is anywhere else quite like it.

What do you think is the biggest challenge in the Education sector at the moment?

The lack of money for schools, and the underappreciation of education staff. We see you, and we appreciate you!

What do you think is the biggest opportunity for people coming to work with us at Clearly Education?

A great work-life balance. Working with us on a flexible basis suits so many people with varying circumstances.

If you could go anywhere in the world where would you go and why?

I’d love to take my young children to Lapland at Christmas time, purely for the magic I’ve heard so much about.

If you had a super power what would it be?

I’d love to travel back in time.

If you have a Sunday afternoon all to yourself what would you do?

Go for a really long walk in the countryside or by the coast.
