Supporting the Community

Sandy Hill Community Project

We are so happy to announce that this year we have chosen to support a very important new initiative close to our hearts – The Sandy Hill Community Project Centre C.I.C.

The Centre was formed in response to the mental health crisis following the COVID pandemic and offers a wide variety of outdoor activities to support positive mental health and wellbeing for children, young people and adults in the local and wider community.

The Centre is set in 16 acres of countryside. It has 8 ponies, 4 heavy horses and various small animals including chickens, ducks, rabbits and pigs.  There is also an orchard, sensory garden and vegetable patch on site.  Sandy Hill provides a haven for individuals and groups to have a safe space to recognise and achieve goals and personal fulfilment. They also take the horses weekly to the local primary school so that children with special needs can enjoy equine therapy.

Clearly Education are proud sponsors of the Witham Town Under 10’s Whites.

“They should be very proud of what they have achieved in their first season as a 7-a-side. It’s a big step up from 5-a-side football and they have done it seamlessly. I am very proud of what each and every one of them has achieved.”
Andy, Coach

“We were delighted to support the team and could not be more proud of them all. Everything we do at Clearly Education is to play a part in giving children the best start and opportunities in life and it’s something we really love about what we do. This was a great way for us to support a wonderful group of children and we have loved seeing the smiles on their faces doing something they really enjoy…Go Team!”
Polly, Clearly Education

In addition to the Under 10s, Witham Town also have a seniors team (as well as their first team), junior’s, mini’s and girls team. They also run a soccability programme, which provides a fun environment where individuals with additional needs can play sport. It is open to all ages and all abilities, and after starting with two players now regularly has over forty, and has become a real club success story.

There is no charge for these players and the club even provides them with their training tracksuit and kit with financial help from the local community.
