We’re looking for an enthusiastic Business Development Consultant to join our small friendly team in St Albans.
We work with a variety of education settings offering them short and long term staffing solutions
The Business Development role is varied and exciting! You will be supported by 2 Recruitment Consultants and the Branch Manager to promote the Company’s services, develop leads and build good relationships with schools and nurseries.
You will be a positive team player who is able to engage and build relationships with clients over the telephone as well as face to face. You’ll be confident, personable and enjoy working as part of a team within a developing business!
Main duties:
– Working with existing client database as well as developing new relationships with clients
– Identify and develop new business opportunities through networking, cold calling, and other lead generation strategies
– Conduct market research to identify potential clients and industry trends
– Build and maintain relationships with key decision-makers
– Collaborate with internal teams to develop customised solutions for clients
– Negotiate contracts
– Provide ongoing account management and support to ensure client satisfaction
-Collaborate with marketing for enhanced brand visibility
What we’re looking for:
– Experience in business development or sales roles
– A good team player with a positive attitude
– Self motivated and self disciplined to take ownership for your own day
– Computer literate and comfortable speaking to clients on the phone and in person
– Strong communication, interpersonal and negotiation skills
– Ability to work independently AND as part of a team
– Self-motivated with a results-oriented mindset

As this role will be particularly focusing on sourcing new education settings, some knowledge of the education industry will give you an advantage but not essential.
